Fintech Unicorns of the 21st-Century

At FintechLabs we track the value of global fintech unicorns born since 1999. As of 12 May (2024), there are 363 valued at US$1 billion or more. That’s up 13 this year, up 34 since the end of 2022, and up 85 from YE 2021. The total includes 28 billion-plus exits as well as 41 public companies trading above $1B in market value. The remaining 294 private companies are listed according to their most recent valuations as reported by various media outlets. Given the private-market valuation dip in the past year, there are likely a number of over-valued companies listed. 

The total value is $1.6 trillion up about $100 million so far this year.
