Ten years ago, Finovate launched FinDEVr, the first major conference exclusively for fintech and financial institution developers. Attendees and sponsors had been asking for it, so we thought it could eventually be as big as Finovate.
The first FinDEVr was indeed 3x larger than the first Finovate, and we thought it would be a huge winner. However, it was harder (for us) to provide sufficient value to developers, and sadly, the event didn’t survive COVID.
But we still believe there is plenty of demand for a conference that has the right mix of pragmatic technical content, wild-eyed future tech, and some fun at the end of the day. Several promising conferences have emerged in recent years, and we expect this list to grow throughout the decade.
